Comic Book Collecting Workshop

In this class Jack will show you the basics of comic book collecting. Learn how to identify popular comic titles, companies; mainstream and independent and where to look to find the date published. You will learn how to differentiate between a first printing and 5th printing. How to handle, board and bag your comics to ensure they’re kept in the best condition possible so you can enjoy reading the stories and beautiful artwork without damaging your comic. Participants will also learn how to properly categorize, protect, store, grade, price, trade and sell comic books.

If you like Super Heroes from Marvel or DC movies like Batman, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers Spiderman, X-men, or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles then you’ll love or even become inspired by the original comic book stories. Comic book collecting can be fun, profitable, a great way to connect with your friends or family and maybe someday meet your favourite comic book creator and get a personal sketch or autograph on a comic book.

(Each participant will receive a free stack of 10 comic books to start or add to their collection.)
